Control Technology Inc. (CTI) was hired by SVCW as a prime consultant on their recent Biogas/Cogeneration plant. The wastewater facility uses 3 digesters for biogas collection. The methane produced is scrubbed and sent to two Jenbacher 633 kW dual fuel engines.  The power and heat is used for facilities, digesters, and no power is sold back to PGE.  CTI secured 2.4 million dollars in California State Rebates.  Additionally, we were hired as their prime consultant on their Automation, which incorporated a very large SCADA system consisting of Wonderware software and Allen Bradley hardware.  Next, as the Owner’s Electrical Engineering consultant CTI reviewed all aspects of the electrical, control and mechanical design.  We drafted the SGIP application and applied our California State Designation to provide them with an additional 20% bonus.  The SGIP monitoring plan was drafted under our management.  Furthermore, CTI took the lead on Air Permitting and Natural Gas procurement.  We are highly integrated with Jenbacher’s design team and were sent to perform Owner’s witness testing for the Paralleling switch gear and control equipment.  Finally, our team performed the MMI Development and PLC programming for the entire generator plant, hot water system, the digesters, boiler plant and gas compressor.  CTI was heavily involved in Owner’s oversight and management of the mechanical, electrical and other site contractors in helping to manage day-to-day construction and budget.
